Vodanet has a broad experience with maritime projects, having been actively involved in design of shipboard IT infrastructure and connectivity solutions for newbuilding projects all over the world and working on intricate retrofit projects executed with challenging deadlines for delivery.

Vodanet offers an infotainment solution complete with provision of TV content. Special channel requests are investigated and will be honoured if technically possible. Vodanet also offer access to a regularly updated VOD (Video on Demand) library, further enhancing the experience and quality of the infotainment solution.

Meet the staff
Thomas Truels Schultz
CEO
Thomas is the CEO of Vodanet, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the maritime industry and a deep understanding of the unique challenges associated with operations and communication at sea. Over the past 12 years, he has specialised in advanced IT and network solutions, building strong competencies within wired networks, security, CCTV/video, TV solutions, telephony and infrastructure. His solutions are known for their reliability and ease of use.
Thomas has delivered network, security and TV solutions to a wide range of maritime installations where stability and dependability are essential. His experience also extends into other sectors such as hospitality and includes everything from satellite communication and 4/5G connectivity to the design and implementation of complex network environments supporting critical operations in constantly changing conditions.
As CEO of Vodanet, Thomas combines deep industry insight with hands-on experience from large-scale projects. He works closely with customers to ensure that solutions not only meet technical requirements but also deliver real business value. Thomas is known for his ability to deliver results in environments where there is no room for compromise.

Andreas Kyster - Server, Infrastructure & TV Solutions
Andreas Kyster
Server & Infrastructure Specialist
Andreas is an experienced Server & Infrastructure Specialist with more than 20 years of background in IT operations, infrastructure and datacenter environments. He has spent over a decade as IT Manager and later CIO at a large Danish educational institution, where he held overall responsibility for the organisation’s entire IT platform – including servers, networking, ERP integrations, campus infrastructure and strategic development of IT operations.
Throughout his career, Andreas has also worked within high-security environments, research and university settings, as well as in various private-sector organisations. This combination has given him a strong and versatile understanding of how to operate, secure and optimise complex, business-critical backend systems.
His technical competencies include VMware-based virtualisation, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, storage platforms, network security, firewalls, MPLS-based core networking, wireless solutions, SharePoint environments and video conferencing platforms. He specialises in building stable, secure and high-performance infrastructure platforms designed to support continuous 24/7 operation.
At Vodanet, Andreas works with the design, implementation, operation and troubleshooting of server and infrastructure environments. He is known for his structured approach, technical precision and his ability to deliver thoroughly engineered solutions that combine security, stability and performance.

Claus Danielsen -Network, Security & WAN solutions
Claus Danielsen
Solution Architect
With more than 25 years of experience in networking, Claus works in depth with the design, optimisation and troubleshooting of both wireless and wired infrastructures as well as advanced security solutions. He combines strong technical insight with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach that makes even complex network environments simple, stable and easy for customers to work with.
Claus has delivered network solutions for some of Denmark’s most demanding environments – from large warehouses and production facilities to municipal installations, maritime systems and high-density office environments with several thousand users, where roaming, stability and performance are critical. At an international wind turbine manufacturer, he was responsible for the wireless design across 950,000 m² under roof, one of the most extensive wireless projects of its kind in Denmark. He also has practical experience with global satellite connectivity, including Starlink, 4G and 5G, integrated into mission-critical installations.
Claus works daily with technologies from Cisco, Cisco Meraki and Juniper Mist, and has deep experience with design tools such as Ekahau and Hamina. His competencies include advanced troubleshooting, performance optimisation, IP planning, VLAN design, switching, Cisco ISE, Cisco Prime, security architecture as well as CCTV and TV solutions. He has a particular focus on solutions that support high availability, roaming-critical environments, voice traffic and stable day-to-day operations.
Claus continuously updates his competencies through certifications and partner training, ensuring that customers receive solutions that are not only functional – but robust, future-ready and designed to support their business and daily operations.

Pia Schultz - HR & Finance Manager
Pia Schultz
HR & Finance Manager
Pia is Vodanet’s HR & Finance Manager and a central driving force behind the company’s daily operations, organisational structure and financial management. With more than 20 years of experience in leadership, HR development, budgeting and organisation
al coordination, Pia ensures that Vodanet operates as a professional, structured and well-functioning organisation.
She holds a broad educational background within HR development, strategic HR, leadership, project management, change management and financial administration, including academy and diploma programmes from Erhvervsakademiet Lillebælt, Probana Business School, PwC and Itucation.
Pia has previously worked as a department manager with responsibility for personnel management, recruitment and off-boarding, employee development, financial oversight and compliance with regulatory requirements. She has also led project development and construction of new institutions, handling everything from budgeting and strategy to stakeholder management, board reporting and delivery of complex projects within strict timelines.
At Vodanet, Pia is responsible for HR, finance, internal processes and administrative structure, ensuring clarity, stability and smooth operations across the company. She is recognised for her professionalism, reliability and her ability to combine strong financial insight with solid HR competencies — creating a well-organised foundation for both employees and management.

Ulrich Kronborg - Documentation & Document controller
Ulrich Kronborg
Document Controller & Senior Designer
Ulrich is an experienced Document Controller and Senior Designer with more than 25 years of background within construction, offshore, maritime projects and technical documentation management. With a professional foundation as a bricklayer, building technician and construction architect, he combines practical insight with strong technical expertise, making him a key contributor in projects where quality and precision are essential.
Ulrich has extensive experience in document control and technical design across complex maritime and offshore projects, including large-scale NORSOK-based installations. He has been responsible for managing, coordinating and quality-assuring technical drawings and documentation, ensuring full compliance with standards and project requirements. His background includes drawing production, information management and documentation delivery for platform modifications and engineering projects in both Denmark and Norway.
At Vodanet, Ulrich ensures that all drawings and documents are produced and delivered according to applicable standards – including NORSOK – and at the level of quality our customers expect. As the lead of the Document Control Centre (DCC), he coordinates processes, deadlines, version control and compliance across projects to secure complete and reliable documentation.
Ulrich is known for his structured approach, attention to detail and strong commitment to quality. With solid skills in AutoCAD, technical documentation, quality assurance and standards-based design, he is a central part of Vodanet’s project deliveries and an important link between design, engineering and customer requirements.

Chris is Vodanet’s dedicated Electrician & Installation Specialist, known for his meticulous attention to detail and consistently top-quality craftsmanship. At just 27 years old – barely half the age of the “old guard” on the technical team – he brings fresh energy and precision that match even the most seasoned engineers.
He works closely with both the design and network teams, where his accuracy and quality-driven mindset are essential to the successful execution of Vodanet’s projects. Whether handling cabling, electrical installations, equipment mounting or system preparation, his work is recognised for its order, symmetry and long-lasting durability.
